Building information models (BIMs) so datoteke (pogosto ampak ne vedno za\u0161\u010diteni formati, ki vsebujejo podatke o avtorstvu, lastni\u0161tvu in drugih pravicah), ki jih lahko odprem, izmenjam ali sestavljam v podporo pri odlo\u010danju o stavbi ali drugih objektov. Trenutno BIM programsko opremo uporabljajo posamezniki, podjetja in vladne organizacije, ki na\u010drtujejo, oblikujejo, gradijo, upravljajo in vzdr\u017eujejo razli\u010dne fizi\u010dne
